PGRx Information System for Epidemiological Research

Summary:
PGRx is an information system that intends to describe diseases (descriptive epidemiology of diseases) and to
provide information focused on disease management, burden of disease, treatment patterns and patient’s quality of
life. The system uses a transversal study design with a recruitment of patients diagnosed on targeted pathologies (e.g.
acute coronary syndrome, multiple sclerosis, cancers and others) and a routine retrospective epidemiological
collection of disease measures and resource use (treatment, hospitalisation, laboratory tests, medical procedures
and others).

Inclusion criteria:
The PGRx has a set of general inclusion and eligibility criteria:
Inclusion:
•Patients diagnosed with the targeted disease regardless of the date of diagnosis
•Male or female, aged 18 and over
•Place of usual residence in the area of recruitment

Exclusion criteria:
N/A
