Nottingham Digestive Diseases BRU Brochure
The latest NIHR Nottingham Digestive Diseases Centre Biomedical Research Unit brochure has just been released. The publication details the aims of the NIHR BRU and gives an overview of its facilities. It also expands upon how it facilitates patient involvement in research and how clinicians are empowered to deliver their research. There are overviews of team leaders and a summary of the unit’s training approach. A central part of the brochure is a thorough description of themes the BRU are involved with:
- Helicobacter pylori
- Disorders of GI function following infection
- Bacteria and mucosal inflammation including Clostridium difficile
- Infections and postoperative complications of GI surgery
- Viral Hepatitis and its long term sequelae
- Endoscopy research
