Non-Commercial Participating Site Agreement
When should this be used?
The model Non-Commercial Agreement (mNCA) has been developed for use between a non-commercial Sponsor of a research study and a Health Service Organisation (NHS) and is suitable for use in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. This ensures compliance with applicable UK law and institutional arrangements.
The main body of the Agreement is intended to be used without modification and can be used between NHS organisations however in its model format the Agreement is not fit for purpose in documenting the relationship between a University and the Health Service.
Further guidance is available from UKCRC
What if a University is involved?
The mNCA can be adapted for use with a University and NUH however this will require adaptation and further refinement which the contracts team will negotiate and reach suitable agreement as to the terms with the other parties.
